Drink of the Day:

French 75

  • 45 ml Dry Gin
  • 15 ml Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tsp Sugar
  • Fill up with Champagne

Thoughts (Spoiler Alert):

I’ve said pretty much all I have to say about politics and journalism a few weeks ago.  There isn’t anything else that I can add.  I feel that this chapter is quite slow though.  I don’t feel like there’s much going on really.  Takei comes out and taunts Sasakura, and they just talk about some random things in the past.  Both the post card writing and greeting people flashbacks seem quite random.  The reasoning behind giving Takei a French 75 seems kind of weak as well.  Takei did not display any signs of fatigue, but Sasakura still asks him to take a break.  Takei is being quite aggressive the whole night, but telling an aggressive person to calm down rarely works.  The last bit about the temperature outside is also a bit unnecessary and forced.

It’s a great chapter in terms of telling us more about Sasakura and building up to a big cliffhanger, but the details all seem weak or off to me.

This chapter did seem kind of disorganized. I think the point of Ryu talking about sending letters and greeting people before they could greet him was about doing something that is required but might seem meaningless. The chapter tried to connect that to dealing with a nosy, particularly hostile, customer. The action of dealing with that type of customer is required but seemingly meaningless because Ryu’s time and service may be wasted on a customer (the editor) who doesn’t appreciate it. That’s my take and thank you for your work!

I liked it, because it’s building up to something.
    Thank you!

Hey this is kinda of off topic but I was wondering if blogs
use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding expertise so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
