Thoughts (Spoiler Alert):

A pretty standard Bartender chapter.  It’s Sasakura’s first day at Eden Hall, and already he has a problematic customer on his hands, but like usual, he comes up with the perfect cocktail to comfort the customer.  I thought it was a pretty nice touch on the author’s part to link Bullshot the cocktail to Bullshot the novel, and fit it all into a nice scenario where the customer can relate to both.  I really liked this chapter for its story and presentation.  However, I’m a little lost when I tried to translate the dialog.  If you only read through the chapter once, you might not have noticed, but since I had to translate the chapter, I read it through several times, and there are parts where I don’t really see a clean connection.  Or perhaps I’m just not getting the hidden implications.  For example, when Sasakura tells the lawyer lady about “One for the Road”.  He first talk about reluctantly leaving, but then kind of jump to the topic that things don’t always go as planned in the adult world, and gave another definition of “One for the Road”.  But the new definition which involves leaving on a journey doesn’t seem to connect with that previous statement about things not going as planned.  It’s either the Chinese translation I got this from is flawed, or there is just some weird miscommunication.  But anyways, that part was odd to me, and it kind of kills the flow for me, but hopefully it doesn’t for the rest of you.

I started to feel Sasakura is a bit…creepy. That guy is so smart that he could point out jobs and problems of the person he just meets. And he’s always smiling…

Thank you for the translating. It’s nice to see Miwa back. 🙂

Great work on the chapter. I want to help to put some clarity in your synopsis of the chapter. In the anime version, the phrase that is used for the second definition of “one for the road” is “one for the road home” instead of “journey” with the rest of the definition the same as what you translated. The word “journey” did kind of seem out of place. All in all great work on the chapter and keep it up.

Thanks for the clarification! “One for the road home” definitely makes a lot more sense.
