Drink of the Day:

Vodka Tonic (Uchida Style)

• 45 ml Vodka
• 1/2 Soda Water
• 1/2 Tonic Water
• Lime
• Hard Ice

Thoughts (Spoiler Alert):

Not going to talk too much about the story just yet.  Only wanted to point two things out.  First, Uchida said he tried many different types of Vodka, but in the manga, he ended up using Smirnoff… If what he strive for is taste, then I cannot agree with this choice at all, no matter how you look at it.  Not to mention his goal is to make Vodka Tonic taste as smooth as water, and Smirnoff is the farthest thing from a smooth vodka.  Second, on the second to the last page, after Uchida said “Welcome”, there’s a frame where Tsubasa is staring blankly forward, and then he exclaims “What”.  I tried to see it as a pause after seeing something but did not immediately realize that there’s something out of the ordinary.  However, I don’t think it works.  Feels very odd to me.
