Thoughts (Spoiler Alert):

This two-part story uses the typical Bartender formula.  Someone troubled comes to Sasakura’s bar, he makes a drink for the troubled person, and tells him a nice story, which would help him become free of doubt.  Also, lots and lots of little bits of info in this story.  I didn’t bother checking all of it, but I checked the parts that seemed fishy to me.  Like usual, the author misquotes a few things, but nothing to detrimental.  I didn’t look up the fact about bulls and their blind spot, but it made sense.  Lastly, the story has a good moral.  Just because a person is too scared to risk their life on the battlefield doesn’t make them less of a person.  In fact, the most important thing is to stay alive.  There’s no sense in rushing into a battle if you cannot overcome that fear.  You’ll probably just screw up or break under the pressure.  There are other things you can do in life to be useful to others.  It’s important to understand what a person is capable of.
